Hi, I'm Jackie, I studied German and Italian literature and language as well as Literary and Cultural Theory in Düsseldorf, Tübingen, Chapel Hill, and Durham in North Carolina, and I now work as a content manager. On Prose & Paper, I write about books I've read.

My favorite books are metafictional and historical novels, urban novels and fantasy – classics and contemporary literature. I'm not too keen on crime, thriller and romance novels. My favorite authors include Dolly Alderton, Haruki Murakami, Daniel Kehlmann, Christian Kracht, Michel Houellebecq, Charles Bukowski, Ernest Hemingway, Jean-Paul Sartre, Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky, Albert Camus, Arto Paasilinna, C. S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll and E.T.A. Hoffmann.

Other things I like: trying new recipes and mixing good drinks, being outdoors and by the sea, exploring new places and capturing that with my camera, Marvel and DC movies.
